The Forest Ranger
“The Forest Ranger” is a piece for piano, orchestra and piccolo. It is based on the Cypriot traditional tune “O Thasonomos” (‘O Δασονόµος’) translated as “The forest ranger”.
The piccolo is imitating a traditional Cypriot instrument called “pithkiavlin” (‘πιδκιαύλιν’), and it should be performed on the balcony of the hall, imitating a shepherd in the mountains.
The work was commissioned by PHIL Haarlem, and the project was sponsored by the foundation Karel Hilsum.

4 little pieces for Piano and Violin
These 4 little pieces were composed through old schemes that I did back in 2018, in Nicosia. I retook the cycle when I started my studies in Amsterdam and I finished composing them on November 2021. I dedicated them to this wonderful portuguese violinist Francisca Portugal.
